I would like to extend a warm welcome to existing and potential new or returning members to Pewsey Tennis Club and trust you will all have an enjoyable tennis season. Our club remains one of the best in Wiltshire with superb facilities.
Your club is in good shape financially but we will spend £45000 over the next two years with four courts being re-surfaced.
Tennis Club Works Update - Courts 1&2 re-surfacing completed and everyone seems to be enjoying the new surface. It is planned that the yew trees alongside these courts will be trimmed by Simon Ellis on behalf of the Parish Council (our landlords) and this will include clearing branches from around the corner floodlight. The back corners of the hitting wall should be repointed this month and the clubhouse front guttering is awaiting inspection and best solution.
2014 has been a busy year in ensuring our club's facilities remain top notch and we are confident that the investment will be very much appreciated by our members, coaching groups, cardio-tennis participants and school groups.
Many thanks for your patience.
Colin Gratton, Chairman

Annual Club Mixed Doubles Tournament (19th October) On a blustery but sunny day 12 pairs entered the Club annual mixed doubles tournament organised and run by Lis Donaldson. Playing in two sections of six the section winners who contested the Final were Nick Hewens and Anabel Rugge-Price versus Colin Gratton and Clare Bamforth. The final proved a classic which everyone seemed to enjoy with Nick and Anabel worthy winners 5-4, but it was one of those matches that could have gone either way!!
Voluntary entry fees in aid of the Macmillan Nurses raised £177, a marvellous effort. Our thanks to Lis for organising and all those club members who contributed refreshments. A very enjoyable club competition and social event was enjoyed by all. Colin Gratton, Chairman.
The Annual Junior Club Tournaments were played on 11th October. Events played were 8U,9U,12U & 16U.
